Do you want to know if solar energy is right for your organization, your client's existing facility, or proposed new construction? Even initial research into the feasibility of solar power systems can be a complex undertaking. So it makes sense to hire an independent third party to conduct a feasibility study before taking an installer's word for it or prior to beginning a solar project. And if you are applying for funding for your renewable energy project (e.g., REAP or C-PACE programs), a feasibility study will be required to complete your application. You also lock in your energy rate for up to 20 years and ensure that your array will be operated and maintained by a team of high-level professionals throughout its lifecycle. Solar hot water, also called solar thermal, is one of the most efficient renewable technologies available. Compared to solar photovoltaic (PV) which typically captures no more than 18% of the sun's energy, solar thermal technologies capture 70-80% of the available solar resource. This energy is then transferred directly to heating water which can be used for domestic use, laundry, kitchen, building heating, and even dehumidifying in large spaces.
